1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

• Complete the Flight Anxiety Assessment Quiz: First name, email address, phone number (optional), responses to assessment questions about your flight anxiety
• Register for an Account: Email address, account credentials, profile information
• Make a Purchase: We never see or store your card details. Purchases made inside the app are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions bought on our website before 12 August 2026 were processed by Stripe, which still handles billing for those existing subscriptions. We receive only the status of a subscription, not your payment method
• Contact Us: Name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide

1.2 Information You Give Us During Onboarding

When you set up the app we ask a short series of questions so the program can be built around your particular fear rather than a generic one. Some of these are sensitive, and we want to be plain about them. They cover:

• Which situations you avoid, and what you do to feel safer while flying
• What you believe happens in the air, and how the fear behaves over time
• When you last flew, and whether you have tried before to address the fear
• Whether a difficult past flight is part of the picture
• What currently gets you through a flight, including whether that involves alcohol or prescribed medication
• Your age range

We ask about substances and previous attempts only to decide which tools to teach you first. We do not use these answers for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone outside the service providers listed in section 4.

1.3 Information Collected from Your Use of the App

When you use the ReadytoFly App, we automatically collect:

• Progress Data: Daily module completion, comfort level scores, exercise tracking, audio listening history
• Flight Details You Save: Dates, destinations and the comfort ratings you record before and after a flight
• Usage Analytics: Session duration, features accessed, navigation patterns
• Session Recordings: Our analytics provider records how you move through the app so we can find where it confuses people. Anything you type into a text field is masked and never recorded. Other on-screen text is visible in these recordings, which means a recording of the onboarding questions can show which options you selected. See section 6 if you would prefer to opt out
• Crash and Error Reports: Technical details about the failure when something goes wrong
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version

1.4 Information Collected from the Website

• Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed
• Quiz Analytics: Session ID, completion status, time spent on questions

1.5 Cookies

We use essential cookies for website functionality and analytics cookies to understand visitor interactions. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information with:

• Service Providers: Hosting, payment processors, analytics, email services
• For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In connection with mergers or acquisitions
• With Your Consent: For other purposes with your explicit consent

4. Third-Party Service Providers

These are the companies that process data on our behalf. Each one is here because the service needs it to work, and each is bound to use it only for that purpose.

• Supabase: Database, account authentication and file storage. Your account, quiz answers, onboarding answers and progress live here — Privacy Policy
• PostHog: Product analytics and the session recordings described in section 1.3 — Privacy Policy
• Sentry: Crash and error reporting — Privacy Policy
• Superwall: Runs the subscription screens and records which plan you chose. It does not receive your payment details — Privacy Policy
• Loops: Sends our emails, and stores your email address and first name to do so — Privacy Policy
• Apple: Processes purchases made inside the app. We receive the status of a subscription, never your card — Privacy Policy
• Stripe: Processed subscriptions bought on our website before 12 August 2026 and still bills those existing subscriptions — Privacy Policy
• Google: Website measurement tags on readytofly.app only. The app does not use them — Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare: Serves and protects the website — Privacy Policy

We do not use advertising networks, attribution SDKs or data brokers, and the app contains no advertising.

5. Data Retention

• Account Data: Duration of subscription plus 2 years
• Quiz Responses: 3 years for research purposes
• Payment Information: 7 years for tax/accounting (processed by third parties)
• Usage Data: Anonymized after 1 year; identifiable data retained for 2 years

You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time, from Settings, then Delete account inside the app. That removes your account, your quiz and onboarding answers, and your progress. You can also ask us to do it by writing to admin@readytofly.app, and we will confirm when it is done.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Portability: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: Delete your account yourself from Settings, then Delete account, or ask us (subject to legal exceptions)
• Session Recordings: If you would rather not be recorded, email us and we will exclude your account. Anything you type is masked for everyone regardless
• Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from emails, disable push notifications, reply "STOP" to SMS

To exercise these rights, contact admin@readytofly.app. We respond within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including:

• SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission
• Secure server storage with restricted access
• Regular security assessments
• Third-party security vetting

No method of transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and other legally approved mechanisms for data transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us immediately.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have rights to:

• Right to Know: Request information about data collected
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your data
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information
• Right to Non-Discrimination: No discrimination for exercising rights

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice.
